The King of Kings loves you so dearly

“Having loved His own, He loved them unto the end”, another version says, “He continued to love them right to the end and to the highest degree” (John 13:1)

God loves us with a kind of love that cannot be stopped by anything or anyone. He has not spared anything in showing each one of us just how much He loves us. We all bear witness to the extent God has gone and continues to go in showing us how much He loves us. Not even the sinful nature of mankind can stop Him  from loving us with an everlasting love. He loves us infinitely despite everything we do and do not do. Im reminded of a song I used to sing at Sunday School with the following lyrics:

The love of God

Is so high you can’t go over it

It’s so low you can’t go under it

It’s so wide you can’t go around it

Oh wonderful love

Indeed it is a wonderful love. Needless to say, it challenges me to grow in loving Him and being obedient to Him. Each one of us needs to cultivate and strive for a life and relationship with God that is continually growing otherwise we will die of stagnation. I am yet to come across an individual who does not want to be near someone they love. His loves for us needs to cause us to draw near to him, so if we profess to love Him, then we must be near Him. The love of God burns for you so strongly that he has committed to never leave you, never abandon you and never forsake you. Remember that God foreknew the worst in all of us, yet He still declared His unending love for each one of us. Wow! What a wonderful love.
